TRAVEL BY CAR
East Coast Route from south of border:
A1 to Junction A1/A720; A720 to A8; A8 to Junction 2; M8 to Junction 1; M9 (direction
Stirling) to Junction 10; A84 to Lochearnhead; A85 (through Doune/Callander/Lix Toll). At
Crianlarich A82 (direction Fort William) to Tyndrum.
For Bridge of Orchy and Inveroran stay on A82.
For Dalmally, Stronmilchan, Lochawe: at Tyndrum turn left back on A85.
For Ardbrecknish, Portsonachan, Eredine: Past Dalmally, take A819 (direction
Inveraray), five miles on turn right onto B840 (direction Cladich/Ford).West Coast Route from south of border:
M6 to Junction 44; A74 to A74(m); then A74 then A74(m) to Junction 13; M74 to M73, taking
slip road to M8 (for Greenock and Glasgow Airport); M8 to Junction 30; M898 to Erskine
Bridge (toll 60p); over bridge turn left for A82 (direction Crianlarich); follow A82 to
Tarbet on Loch Lomond.
Option 1:
For Bridge of Orchy: stay on A82 via Crianlarich and Tyndrum.
For Dalmally, Stronmilchan, Lochawe: turn left onto A85;
For Cladich, Ardbrecknish, Portsonachan and Eredine: one mile after
Dalmally, take A819; five miles on, turn right onto B840.
Option 2: At Tarbet take A83 (direction Campbeltown); at Inveraray take A819 through white
arch.
For Cladich, Ardbrecknish, Portsonachan and Eredine: 10 miles out of Inveraray,
turn left onto B840.
For Dalmally, Stronmilchan, Glen Orchy: continue on A819 to T junction with A85 and
turn right. Old Dalmally is on your right. For Stronmilchan turn left at Dalmally Hotel.
For Glen Orchy stay on A85 to signpost Glen Orchy B8074.
For Lochawe: continue on A819 and turn left at T junction with A85. |
