Loch Awe - looking North east
|
Loch
Awe, the longest inland loch in Scotland, is a loch of immense beauty set amidst the
magnificent mountains of the Scottish Highlands. Still unspoiled, yet easily accessible,
it has small villages, handsome estates and mansions set along its shores and is renowned
for its trout and pike fishing. Here, too, are small islands and crannogs with rich
histories of convents, castles, stone age relics and medieval knights.
